The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 16 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Daron Davidson came free, but Reed Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the ForestFire defense, Daron Davidson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reed Molina. The ForestFire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reed Molina should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, El Canalla de Chicago's Bart Villanueva got control of the ball when Jeffrey Yoshioka tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lane Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Lane Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reed Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ForestFire getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Lane Martinez hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, ForestFire's Curtis Hunter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bart Villanueva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Domingo Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the El Canalla de Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Lopez couldn't finish the play. In the 41st play minute Jeffrey Yoshioka came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bart Villanueva. 1-2. The supporters of ForestFire booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanner Booker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bart Villanueva was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eddy Amos. The ForestFire players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Canalla de Chicago were winning 1-2.

Jeffrey Yoshioka took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bart Villanueva. Bart Villanueva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Reed Molina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daron Davidson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Armando Leobardo hit a great ball. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Rudolf Pendleton replaced Daron Davidson. The supporters of ForestFire booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Leobardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute Duncan Nichols shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Villanueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddy Amos made a great header on ForestFire's corner, it was just that El Canalla de Chicago's Bart Villanueva managed to reach the ball for a save. Bart Villanueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamar Knapp, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. ForestFire's Lamar Knapp got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goalkeeper Reed Molina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingo Lopez. Domingo Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Reed Molina made a huge save. ForestFire's Reed Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Lopez in the 79th minute of play. If Lamar Knapp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bart Villanueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Nichols in the 83rd minute of the match. When ForestFire's Duncan Nichols in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Canalla de Chicago's goalie prevented a goal. Lamar Knapp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Bart Villanueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Knox could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Reed Molina made a huge save. ForestFire's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eddy Amos in the 92nd minute.
