An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipo Inzaghi in the 8th minute of play forced Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Piotr Gecionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the SuRpRiSe defense, Roch Betonowy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kacper Juzda. The SuRpRiSe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kacper Juzda should have stopped the shot. Filipo Inzaghi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Piotr Gecionis having to make a save. 17 minutes into the game, Filipo Inzaghi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Piotr Gecionis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 81st minute Filipo Inzaghi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Gecionis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piotr Gecionis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipo Inzaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Filipo Inzaghi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Gecionis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piotr Gecionis came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by SuRpRiSe's Filipo Inzaghi. But to his dismay, Filipo Inzaghi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Piotr Gecionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipo Inzaghi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SuRpRiSe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Śląsk Bytom had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
