The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Delmar Berenguer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ignacy Zagrobelny was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the match, Hahay's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Vaz came free, but Aigeus Milionis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Hahay's Delmar Berenguer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Delmar Berenguer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KS LEW Chorzów's Ignacy Zagrobelny proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save KS LEW Chorzów from getting a goal against them. Aigeus Milionis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Alcântara in the 17th minute of the match. Aigeus Milionis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Beninda's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmar Berenguer got free with Ignacy Zagrobelny in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Hahay's Delmar Berenguer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignacy Zagrobelny narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 27 minutes KS LEW Chorzów's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gökmen Parshan who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Konrad Hatman heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Marian Beninda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Aigeus Milionis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, one of KS LEW Chorzów:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmar Berenguer in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacy Zagrobelny saved KS LEW Chorzów from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of KS LEW Chorzów:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hahay:s goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Pedro Luís Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Aigeus Milionis made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Blažej Ravanelli came free, but Ignacy Zagrobelny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Ignacy Zagrobelny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmar Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Fabian Grocholski hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Hahay made a substitution. Jurand Madej replaced Iwan Skaradoski. In the 88th minute Delmar Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacy Zagrobelny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Grocholski hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the KS LEW Chorzów defense, Delmar Berenguer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacy Zagrobelny. The KS LEW Chorzów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacy Zagrobelny should have stopped the shot.
