Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wei Guang Xing took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Matungo Gaúcho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Afonso Cardozo was slow to take the kick. During this time MONTANHA's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on MONTANHA's corner Afonso Cardozo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ademir Baptista quite easily take care of the ball. Andres van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Pinheiro in the 6th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Celedonio Florinio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Borges in the 9th minute of play. Gilmar Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres van der Sar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 19th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Ademir Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Cardozo got free with Ademir Baptista in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MONTANHA's Afonso Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After taking down the ball on MONTANHA's corner Afonso Cardozo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ademir Baptista quite easily take care of the ball. Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Matungo Gaúcho from getting a goal against them. After 27 minutes Matungo Gaúcho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Afonso Cardozo who took care of the corner kick. Gonçalo Matos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Ademir Baptista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Afonso Cardozo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Ademir Baptista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Matungo Gaúcho's Josué Pinheiro in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MONTANHA's goalie prevented a goal. When MONTANHA's Wei Guang Xing in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Andres van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 51 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Trancoso. If Gilmar Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Borges in the 60th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Matungo Gaúcho got a freekick which was hit by Frank Cromefeldt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Cardozo in the 66th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Ademir Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Andres van der Sar made a huge save. Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 79th minute of play. If Afonso Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's goalkeeper Andres van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josué Pinheiro. After having played for 94 minutes, Celedonio Florinio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matungo Gaúcho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Florinio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MONTANHA succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Matungo Gaúcho had controlled the match.
