The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Monte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Francisco Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Vito in the 14th minute of play. Francisco Gutierrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Lucila in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Ramon Ermano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. S. Peron y Belgrano the free kick. Pedro Monte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Omero, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Pedro Monte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Caton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Vito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Nicanor Lucila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Nicanor Lucila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Francisco Gutierrez made a huge save. Nicanor Lucila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Francisco Gutierrez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nicanor Lucila scored 0-6 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Gutierrez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Francisco Gutierrez managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when C.A. Boca Juniors's Nicanor Lucila fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nicanor Lucilas short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Francisco Gutierrez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. C.A. Boca Juniors's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
