Joinville United - FSCMZ's Guilherme Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the game, Mané Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Carlos Carioca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guilherme Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo Chaves in the 34th minute. IGUIPORÃ FC's Carlos Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Lara in the 37th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Chaves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Guilherme Catarinense made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in IGUIPORÃ FC's zone, Mané Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Carioca came out of the goal and Mané Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Guilherme Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mané Lara got free with Carlos Carioca in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guilherme Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Lennart Khan was substituted for Elberg As. Lennart Khan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Carlos Carioca made a huge save. In the 92nd match minute, Joinville United - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Joinvilense to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Guilherme Joinvilense from long distance, 98 minutes into the match, got Carlos Carioca's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Joinville United - FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
