The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's Ronaldo Pinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Almir Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ronaldo Pinho sped through Zemantauskas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Almir Cruz. Ronaldo Pinho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 15th playminute. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Zé Pedro Dionísio took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Almir Cruz to make any attempt to save it. Rubens Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubens Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Rubens Reis got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Carlos Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanheiro SC's protests and gave Carlos Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amílton Ferreira in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dagoberto de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute, Telmo da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 43 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Ronaldo Pinho made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Almir Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Zemantauskas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Castanheiro SC:s goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amílton Ferreira to make the kick off. Almir Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 64th minute Ronaldo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel de Senna hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Almir Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Pinho's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Joel de Senna hit a great ball. Ronaldo Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Telmo da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 76th minute, Téo Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Ronaldo Pinho put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Almir Cruz. After 81 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Zé Pedro Dionísio made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Almir Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zemantauskas FC's Almir Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo da Fonseca in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo da Fonseca in the 89th minute of play forced Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Almir Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almir Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Pinho went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Zé Pedro Dionísio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Castanheiro SC had won after a very even match.
