Benedito Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th match minute, THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Dionísio came free, but Tostão Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dagoberto de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Castanheiro SC's Dagoberto de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Guimarães in the 13th minute of play. Sandrinho Godoi lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Sandrinho Godoi hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Tony Tasso struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Dagoberto de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ. Arnaldo Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25thth minute of the game Arnaldo Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's Tostão Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ian Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dagoberto de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tostão Soeiro came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Jailson Esteves. But to his dismay, Jailson Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Pereira in the 32nd minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Dagoberto de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Esteves came free, but Tostão Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilherme Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tostão Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castanheiro SC's Dagoberto de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Pereira in the 37th minute of play. Dagoberto de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Netto in the 38th minute. After 45 played minutes THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Nóbrega. After the first half Castanheiro SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Lago in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tostão Soeiro saved THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ from getting behind. When Arí Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's protests and gave Arí Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ got a freekick which was hit by Arí Guimarães. Dagoberto de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Guimarães in the 63rd minute of play. Jailson Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Arnaldo Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Pedro Dionísio hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Bernardo Pereira took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dagoberto de Queirós. Dagoberto de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Tostão Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Augusto Loyola got free with Tostão Soeiro in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Castanheiro SC's Dagoberto de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Tasso in the 88th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Macedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tostão Soeiro was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Castanheiro SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
