The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Daniel Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 2 minutes into the match, Atlético Minuano's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Garcia came free, but Yuri Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute Bandelocos were awarded a corner. Anísio Teixeira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Anísio Teixeira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Minuano's Yuri Loureiro did a great save. Nicolas Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Nilson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bandelocos's zone, Dominik Piglowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson do Vale came out of the goal and Dominik Piglowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurinho Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Dominik Piglowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredinho Aparecido took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilson do Vale. Nilson do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Romero got free with Nilson do Vale in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atlético Minuano's Yuri Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Brasil in the 24th minute of play. Yuri Loureiro came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Bandelocos's Valdir Garcia. But to his dismay, Valdir Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Atlético Minuano's Yuri Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Brasil in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominik Piglowski got free with Nilson do Vale in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale got control of the ball when Nicolas Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Daniel Brasil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandelocos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Minuano the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Daniel Brasil got a free kick in the 37th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Atlético Minuano's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Vargas came free, but Yuri Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdir Garcia to make the kick off. Alfredinho Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson do Vale having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Valdir Garcia took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Yuri Loureiro to make any attempt to save it. Nilson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 63rd minute, Alfredinho Aparecido ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilson do Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Alfredinho Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson do Vale having to interfere. Atlético Minuano made a substitution. Mathias Ortiz replaced Alfredinho Aparecido. Valdir Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Loureiro having to interfere. With a little luck, Atlético Minuano's Yuri Loureiro got control of the ball when Valdir Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Nicolas Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Minuano's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
