In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowen Doherty in the 9th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Grêmio Bulls got a corner. Bandelocos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastião Tróia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Grêmio Bulls's Sebastião Tróia to fire away a dangerous shot which Nilson do Vale despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Celso Furtado hit a great ball. Henrique Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Garcia in the 19th minute of the match. Romulo Lehen came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nilson do Vale could save by the left post. The supporters of Grêmio Bulls booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romulo Lehen. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Shu Gang in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Romulo Lehen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilson do Vale was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34th minute Romulo Lehen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Valdir Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandelocos's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 minutes of play, Grêmio Bulls's Wei Shu Gang made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastião Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastião Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bandelocos booed when Grêmio Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romulo Lehen. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdir Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowen Doherty in the 50th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Valdir Garcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrique Prata was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 54th minute, Rowen Doherty made a precise shot to the right of Nilson do Vale. Bandelocos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 60th minute Rowen Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdir Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Henrique Prata made a huge save. When Rowen Doherty came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Grêmio Bulls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rowen Doherty couldn't finish the play. Grêmio Bulls's Pedrão Prata was substituted for Romulo Lehen. Grêmio Bulls's Victor Passos was substituted for Wei Shu Gang. Grêmio Bulls's Ernesto Falcão was substituted for Rowen Doherty. Henrique Prata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Brasil in the 68th minute. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Billy Dowdall hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Prata came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Prata in the 73rd minute of play. Victor Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nilson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Falcão in the 82nd minute of play. Henrique Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Varela in the 86th minute of the match. Valdir Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Luís Gustavo Urbano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandelocos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Bulls the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Luís Gustavo Urbano got a free kick in the 89th minute. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grêmio Bulls were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Bandelocos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastião Tróia took the corner. Grêmio Bulls's Sebastião Tróia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nilson do Vale in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
