ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save ROSÁRIO SPORT from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the match, 余斌亦 notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of MarquinhosEC's Matei Răducu. Matei Răducu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute Alessandro do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Curt Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MarquinhosEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Curt Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 余斌亦's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matei Răducu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 31st minute Curt Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, 余斌亦 put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Matei Răducu. Matei Răducu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 余斌亦 in the 36th minute of the match. Barrie Deacon kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 余斌亦 to make the kick off. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 余斌亦 in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Curt Montes in the 75th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 余斌亦 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. MarquinhosEC's Matei Răducu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 余斌亦 in the 78th minute of play. After 80 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Guimarães. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Dráuzio Camargo replaced Sigvard Rosendal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see MarquinhosEC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
