An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Florinio in the 46th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Andres van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Matungo Gaúcho's Celedonio Florinio got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Afonso Cardozo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ademir Baptista showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
