The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Milosz Hejza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Milosz Hejza notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre. Ismael Nazario Serre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Matungo Gaúcho fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Matungo Gaúcho's Milosz Hejza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Matungo Gaúcho from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, Telmo Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Matungo Gaúcho's Milosz Hejza in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Milosz Hejza made a kick off. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Milosz Hejza's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. It was a well-played corner which Renan de Senna managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milosz Hejza in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Nazario Serre saved Papunhas EC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Milosz Hejza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael Nazario Serre was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Hejza in the 78th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Milosz Hejza put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre. Matungo Gaúcho's Milosz Hejza got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ismael Nazario Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milosz Hejza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Ismael Nazario Serre managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Matungo Gaúcho's Milosz Hejza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 94 minutes into the game, Milosz Hejza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ismael Nazario Serre. Milosz Hejza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Matungo Gaúcho played a much better game than Papunhas EC and deserved their victory. The Papunhas EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
