The audience thought a goal was coming when Inácio Matorin got free with Renan Mendes in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute Jimmy Örtendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy Örtendal's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Ismael Nazario Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Örtendal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Nazario Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrico Herzog in the 28th minute of the match. If Wiliam Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the game, Matanza and Steelers's Jimmy Örtendal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Nazario Serre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Renan Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The wind increased when Ulrico Herzog made the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Raí Gomes put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Matanza and Steelers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Jimmy Örtendal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Nazario Serre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Valdemar de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papunhas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wiliam Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ismael Nazario Serre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matanza and Steelers. 63 minutes into the match, Inácio Matorin notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes. Renan Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 69th minute Leysus Oktavianus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
