Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Josué Pinheiro started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match, Wei Guang Xing got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ademir Baptista was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 5 minutes Matungo Gaúcho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Afonso Cardozo who took care of the corner kick. If Wei Guang Xing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MONTANHA's Czeslaw Walec got a free kick in the 11th minute. Andres van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Pinheiro in the 20th minute of play. Andres van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres van der Sar having to interfere. Gilmar Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Andres van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Florinio kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Andres van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Florinio in the 37th minute of the match. Teodoro Peres hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Wei Guang Xing made the kick off in the second half. Ademir Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wei Guang Xing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Frank Cromefeldt fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matungo Gaúcho's protests and gave Frank Cromefeldt a yellow card for diving instead. Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Cardozo in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Wei Guang Xing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save MONTANHA from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute 龙森景 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 73rd minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Ademir Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilmar Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Afonso Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademir Baptista. Matungo Gaúcho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, MONTANHA's Benedito Trancoso got a free kick in the 94th minute. Matungo Gaúcho's Gilmar Borges couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for MONTANHA. Matungo Gaúcho were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing MONTANHA to leave the ground with a draw.
