Haroldo Etxahun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavino Orlan. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lisandro Tomi might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidio Oto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lisandro Tomi ran back to his position shaking his head. Ovidio Oto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Teodoro Rozarius. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Gustavo Salamon made the kick off in the second half. Ovidio Oto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Bertol, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Tomi during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Hermengildo Bertol made a precise shot to the right of Ovidio Oto. OLYMPIACOS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gustavo Salamon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Santos Lazcano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OLYMPIACOS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s zone, Santos Lazcano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Orlan came out of the goal and Santos Lazcano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Lisandro Tomi hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Lisandro Tomi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Oto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. If Santos Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
