Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) VERΛ's Marcelino Francesco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ovidio Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Macias in the 4th minute of play. Ricardo Honrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Lazcano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the game, VERΛ's Marcelino Francesco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidio Oto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bernabe Normando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Ricardo Honrio made a huge save. 13 minutes into the game, Bernabe Normando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OLYMPIACOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VERΛ the free kick. Danilo Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ovidio Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Macias in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when VERΛ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Honrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Lazcano in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind VERΛ's goalkeeper Ricardo Honrio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelino Francesco's late challenge caught a OLYMPIACOS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Francesco helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 minutes, Eleuterio Rami mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VERΛ and the OLYMPIACOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes VERΛ got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Rami. Bernabe Normando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Honrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Lazcano in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santos Lazcano made a kick off. After 50 minutes, Danilo Garikoitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VERΛ and the OLYMPIACOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Danilo Garikoitz hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Santos Lazcano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelino Francesco took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidio Oto. Ovidio Oto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Lazcano in the 63rd minute of play forced VERΛ's goalkeeper Ricardo Honrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Cayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Honrio having to interfere. Bernabe Normando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Honrio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Ignacio Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Oto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Garikoitz in the 77th minute of play forced OLYMPIACOS FC's goalkeeper Ovidio Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The VERΛ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
