In the 5th minute, Ciano Briz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the AC Papicho defense, Flavio Maestri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Shaw. The AC Papicho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Shaw should have stopped the shot. The Deportivo Municipal fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Deportivo Municipal's Flavio Maestri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Deportivo Municipal's Ratko Glavak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barros Licon in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, AC Papicho's Alexander Shaw got control of the ball when Flavio Maestri tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Deportivo Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guib Gordejuela to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 35 minutes, Gianluca Lapadula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Papicho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gianluca Lapadula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Municipal's zone, Gianluca Lapadula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ratko Glavak came out of the goal and Gianluca Lapadula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Deportivo Municipal's Flavio Maestri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The supporters of AC Papicho booed when Deportivo Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Tejadillo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

AC Papicho made a substitution. Rodolfo Mora replaced Barros Licon. In the 58th minute of the match, Rodolfo Mora tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ratko Glavak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 58 minutes into the game, AC Papicho's Rodolfo Mora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ratko Glavak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. A collision led to AC Papicho getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mika Ackerman hit a great ball. AC Papicho's Frasquito Abrego was substituted for Gianluca Lapadula. The corner ended in Mika Ackerman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Municipal's Ratko Glavak did a great save. AC Papicho's Alexander Shaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Maestri in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, AC Papicho's Frasquito Abrego sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ratko Glavak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio Maestri in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Shaw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frasquito Abrego struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ratko Glavak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Papicho. Angel Beltxe made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Deportivo Municipal's Zuri Serantes. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Municipal's goalkeeper Ratko Glavak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodolfo Mora kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. AC Papicho's Alexander Shaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Tejadillo in the 97th minute of play. Deportivo Municipal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
