In the 15thth minute of the game Sergio Agüero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Sergio Agüero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki. Baldomiro Txindoki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the game, Programayin's Ansu Fatić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomiro Txindoki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Agüero in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomiro Txindoki saved FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting behind. Baldomiro Txindoki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ansu Fatić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Eric Luican in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Programayin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ansu Fatić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Mahonea in the 39th minute. Wilson Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Victor Mahonea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Mahonea in the 46th minute of play forced Programayin's goalkeeper Hans-Jürgen Pötscher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Programayin were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Programayin's Jackson Fügli was substituted for Sergio Agüero. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ansu Fatić was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Wilson Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jackson Fügli got free with Baldomiro Txindoki in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomiro Txindoki was a little too slow when Jackson Fügli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. After 66 minutes Programayin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petrică Cândreanu who took care of the corner kick. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Petrică Cândreanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Arósio in the 69th minute of play. Programayin's Hans-Jürgen Pötscher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Mahonea in the 84th minute of play. Programayin's Antonio Florian quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zenon Galagan, made in the 87th minute of the game. If Jackson Fügli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
