FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Bras in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Bras in the 9th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsenio Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Pietreanu in the 11th minute of play. Majestic Club FC's Arsenio Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 13th minute of play. Octavio Bras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Txindoki having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Manu Kanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Majestic Club FC and the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Majestic Club FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manu Kanu to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Majestic Club FC got a freekick which was hit by Ugaitz Cabrera. 19 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Bras came free, but Baldomiro Txindoki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Galagan made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Majestic Club FC's Florencio Salinas. 25 minutes into the match, Manu Kanu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki. Baldomiro Txindoki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Majestic Club FC's goalkeeper Arsenio Pelayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petrică Cândreanu. When Majestic Club FC's Manu Kanu in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Baldomiro Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Bras, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When Manu Kanu came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Majestic Club FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manu Kanu couldn't finish the play. Majestic Club FC were furious when Florencio Salinas was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Majestic Club FC! Wilson Arósio walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Cândreanu in the 81st minute of play forced Majestic Club FC's goalkeeper Arsenio Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsenio Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Pietreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomiro Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mane Rapado, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iulian Pietreanu in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arsenio Pelayo saved Majestic Club FC from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Majestic Club FC's Baldomiro Txindoki threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manu Kanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 90th minute, Orçun Yalınalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
