Celso de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guib Cortina in the 8th minute of play. Guib Cortina came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Celso de Carvalho could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guib Cortina in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ booed when Alfonso Ugarte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Treceño didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ were awarded a corner. Leonides Pulido went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Fran Canta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alfonso Ugarte's Celso de Carvalho did a great save. Celso de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guib Cortina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Firmino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso de Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ferdinand Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachariasz Psotka in the 25th minute of the match. Alfonso Ugarte's Celso de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guib Cortina in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Guib Cortina fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a rather tough play, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Roberto Firmino got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Fran Canta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Leonides Pulido couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alfonso Ugarte. When ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Guib Cortina in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alfonso Ugarte's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd match minute, Alfonso Ugarte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Treceño to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Alfonso Ugarte's Bento Lebron seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bento Lebron the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alfonso Ugarte protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bento Lebron had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bento Lebron kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Leonides Pulido recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celso de Carvalho. Leonides Pulido showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zachariasz Psotka made a kick off. Celso de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guib Cortina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Guib Cortina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso de Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 65 minutes of play, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Guib Cortina made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso de Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guib Cortina scored 4-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso de Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Elmer von Platen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the game, Guib Cortina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Celso de Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ booed when Alfonso Ugarte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Treceño didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Guib Cortina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Guib Cortina fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guib Cortina in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso de Carvalho saved Alfonso Ugarte from getting behind. If Guib Cortina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alfonso Ugarte had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
