Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guib Cortina in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Guib Cortina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lizardi Montanez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lizardi Montanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guib Cortina in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Egoi Lizarazu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Chilcano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ the free kick. In the 20th minute Guib Cortina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lizardi Montanez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Guib Cortina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lizardi Montanez was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the game, Kazimierz Rydzewski threw the ball into play from the sideline. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Santotis to make the kick off. A collision led to Sporting Chilcano getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Egoi Lizarazu hit a great ball. The supporters of Sporting Chilcano booed when ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmer von Platen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th match minute, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uci Pakasi to maneuver through the defense. Ponciano Gegunde kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sporting Chilcano's Lalla Bernat was substituted for Paul Trielles. With a little luck, Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez got control of the ball when Guib Cortina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferdinand Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Santotis in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match Sporting Chilcano got a corner. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Heli Monsalve ran over to the corner to take the kick. Heli Monsalve made a great header on Sporting Chilcano's corner, it was just that ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Ferdinand Johnson managed to reach the ball for a save. Sporting Chilcano's Armando Santotis got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Leonides Pulido slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lizardi Montanez. That made the score 0-3 after 84 minutes of play. Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guib Cortina in the 94th minute of play. Guib Cortina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
