The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 6th minute of play forced Intimos de Reynoso's goalkeeper Ovidio Roland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Roland made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Enrique Cassaretto sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Aureliano Buendia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidio Roland quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Intimos de Reynoso getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Torsten Åkesson hit a great ball. Meder Muños's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Forsyth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meder Muños in the 24th minute of play. Intimos de Reynoso's Ovidio Roland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Intimos de Reynoso from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Enrique Cassaretto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ovidio Roland. The goal made the score 1-0. Yunus Mahşer made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Intimos de Reynoso's Diego Armando Faso. After 44 minutes, Aureliano Buendia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Municipal and the Intimos de Reynoso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Buendia. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Enrique Cassaretto took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ovidio Roland to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Cassaretto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Intimos de Reynoso's goalkeeper Ovidio Roland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Intimos de Reynoso's Ovidio Roland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 61st minute of play. Enrique Cassaretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidio Roland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. George Forsyth came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Intimos de Reynoso's Meder Muños. But to his dismay, Meder Muños quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Intimos de Reynoso made a substitution. Erez Marica replaced Meder Muños. Intimos de Reynoso made a substitution. Janpier Alvisto replaced Marcus Björkänge. CD Municipal's Gunnar Ekrot was substituted for Zlatan Molina. It was a well-played corner which Yunus Mahşer managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lope Quijana got free with George Forsyth in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erez Marica, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Lope Quijana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but George Forsyth made a huge save. Intimos de Reynoso's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because CD Municipal had won, even though Intimos de Reynoso had held more of the ball.
