Severino Carriedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachary Zacharzewski having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Halcon Sport 69's zone, Tadeusz Dziechciowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachary Zacharzewski came out of the goal and Tadeusz Dziechciowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Edmund Vaik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zakir Novruzov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Halcon Sport 69 booed when Sakura Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeusz Dziechciowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Vaik in the 29th minute of play forced Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Zakir Novruzov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Halcon Sport 69's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anthony Di Loreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Sakura Storm's players had a chance to rest. Anthony Di Loreto made a great header on Sakura Storm's corner, it was just that Halcon Sport 69's Zachary Zacharzewski managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 43rd match minute, Halcon Sport 69 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baumer Ayllon to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes, Sakura Storm's Anthony Di Loreto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zachary Zacharzewski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sakura Storm reached it. Zachary Zacharzewski came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Sakura Storm's Vinícius Juniors. But to his dismay, Vinícius Juniors quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Edmund Vaik made the kick off in the second half. Franco Lormendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zakir Novruzov having to interfere. Zakir Novruzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Vaik, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Vinícius Juniors managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sakura Storm's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinícius Juniors was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zachary Zacharzewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zakir Novruzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Vaik in the 78th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeusz Dziechciowski during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
