Mayo were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Pesqueira City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Farmer took the corner. The corner led Pesqueira City's Ionuț Iniesta to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcus Deacon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Pesqueira City's Ştefan Frunză sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Deacon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute Patrick Robins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mădălin Lunca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pesqueira City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ionuț Iniesta in the 39th minute. It was a well-played corner which Cui Ling Jing managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Pesqueira City's Cristiano Bezerra was substituted for Ştefan Frunză. Mayo made a substitution. Marcus Deacon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. In the 82nd minute, Benjamin da Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Deacon. Mayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 89th minute, Idacio Ballejos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mădălin Lunca was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Pesqueira City's attentive Cui Ling Jing managed to snatch the ball when Nathanial Pitts made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. Mayo's Marcus Deacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Vaz in the 95th minute of play.
