Matthijs Meerdink made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as The Underdogs's Henry Bruinsma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matthijs Meerdink. That made the score 3-1 after 41 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Iustin Hațegan got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute, Ate Kloppenburg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavius Pantea in the 58th minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes, Frank de Boer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Underdogs and the FC Kirchroa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Kirchroa booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank de Boer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Underdogs's Henry Bruinsma got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustin Hațegan to maneuver through the defense. Flavius Pantea's late challenge caught a The Underdogs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavius Pantea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Flavius Pantea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adriaan van Schaik hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Henry Bruinsma managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Underdogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Bruinsma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthijs Meerdink breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Kirchroa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Underdogs.
