The ball went over the crossbar instead. 4 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Lira came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5thth minute of the game Harold Tronconi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 6 minutes Montevideo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nilton Lira who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 10 minutes, Harold Tronconi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio RK75's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harold Tronconi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Tronconi came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Tronconi in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Medeiros saved Montevideo from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Grêmio RK75's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Passos came free, but João Francisco Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laerte Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Passos got free with João Francisco Tinoco in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute Harold Tronconi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grêmio RK75's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Christian Passos scored to the left of an out of position João Francisco Tinoco, making the score, 2-2. 46 minutes into the game, Harold Tronconi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ronaldo Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
The wind increased when Harold Tronconi made the kick off in the second half. João Francisco Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Francisco Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Passos in the 58th minute of play. Ronaldo Medeiros came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio RK75's Harold Tronconi. But to his dismay, Harold Tronconi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Ronaldo Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harold Tronconi's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Ronaldo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Tronconi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laerte Lucas scored 3-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Francisco Tinoco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute Grêmio RK75 were awarded a corner. Nilton Lira went to the cornerflag to take it. Grêmio RK75's Nilton Lira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Harold Tronconi got in the 80th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Natanael de Godoi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montevideo's goalkeeper Ronaldo Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match Grêmio RK75 got a corner. Montevideo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nilton Lira ran over to the corner to take the kick. 87 minutes into the game, Montevideo's Christian Passos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Francisco Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. Ronaldo Medeiros was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nilton Lira. Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo from getting a goal against them. Montevideo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
