Fernandão Recife's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reko Nybacka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Christian Passos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
