Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Koenig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Carlos Alberto Soares made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Reko Nybacka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reko Nybacka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Koenig in the 47th minute of the match. The Catugi FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A.A. Francana were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in A.A. Francana's zone, Carlos Alberto Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan Melo came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reko Nybacka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roman Koenig showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 53 minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match, Roman Koenig tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reko Nybacka saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Carlos Alberto Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renan Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francana were awarded a corner. Francisco Secco went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the Catugi FC defense, Charlie Boström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reko Nybacka. The Catugi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reko Nybacka should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A.A. Francana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
