With his leg Qiu Xing Zhen managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Catugi FC's Fabiano Maranhense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FriBeRtz Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. After 6 minutes, Carlos Alberto Soares made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. FriBeRtz Football Club's Qiu Xing Zhen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 9 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Pombal. In the 14th minute, Hassan Barrow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reko Nybacka was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 18th minute, Catugi FC's Fabiano Maranhense ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Qiu Xing Zhen. Qiu Xing Zhen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 21 minutes into the game, Fabiano Maranhense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Qiu Xing Zhen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 26th minute of play forced FriBeRtz Football Club's goalkeeper Qiu Xing Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qiu Xing Zhen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Maranhense in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erlantz Astudillo came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Gordon Moreland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reko Nybacka. Catugi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gordon Moreland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 39 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erlantz Astudillo came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reko Nybacka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Welch, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Pierre Welch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, FriBeRtz Football Club's goalkeeper Qiu Xing Zhen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabiano Maranhense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erlantz Astudillo to make the kick off. Erlantz Astudillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Reko Nybacka made a huge save. Qiu Xing Zhen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Catugi FC's Fabiano Maranhense in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Soares couldn't finish the play. FriBeRtz Football Club made a substitution. Terrence Jodoin replaced Alonzo Weldon. In the 76th minute, Pierre Welch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Xing Zhen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Fabiano Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Xing Zhen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Fabiano Maranhense put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Qiu Xing Zhen. Qiu Xing Zhen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Maranhense in the 91st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the FriBeRtz Football Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Catugi FC.
