In the 5th minute Geovanni Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanni Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Renan Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Geovanni Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Família Ressaca MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanni Baptista couldn't finish the play. Geovanni Baptista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renan Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Geovanni Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Família Ressaca MZ's João Paulo Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliott Bergsten in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wojciech Rutecki during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Família Ressaca MZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Tanek Podolski hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Roman Koenig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paulo Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Koenig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Família Ressaca MZ's João Paulo Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliott Bergsten in the 37th minute of play. Renan Melo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Centenales in the 40th minute. A collision led to Família Ressaca MZ getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natalio Centenales was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goalkeeper João Paulo Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Koenig. Renan Melo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Família Ressaca MZ's Natalio Centenales. But to his dismay, Natalio Centenales quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Família Ressaca MZ getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Vasco Arruabarrena hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Charlie Boström notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Família Ressaca MZ's João Paulo Silva. João Paulo Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Secco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Paulo Silva. That made the score 1-2 in the 63 minute of play. A collision led to Família Ressaca MZ getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Vasco Arruabarrena hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Família Ressaca MZ defense, Roman Koenig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Paulo Silva. The Família Ressaca MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Paulo Silva should have stopped the shot. Randy Doty kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's Francisco Secco broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Renan Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Centenales in the 80th minute of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute Família Ressaca MZ were awarded a corner. Wojciech Rutecki went to the cornerflag to take it. Elliott Bergsten charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elliott Bergsten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Elliott Bergsten hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goalkeeper João Paulo Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charlie Boström. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ronaldinho do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Família Ressaca MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldinho do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
