In the 7th minute Tana Rede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reko Nybacka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Cavalcante came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tana Rede in the 12th minute of play. Alfredinho Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Maranhense in the 22nd minute of the match. Vítor Antunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reko Nybacka having to make a save. Reko Nybacka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Fonseca in the 41st minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Sanches's late challenge caught a Granadero10's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Sanches helped the player get up and apologised. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Tana Rede made the kick off in the second half. Vítor Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reko Nybacka having to interfere. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Antunes in the 56th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Alvarenga. Vítor Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Reko Nybacka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Granadero10 made a substitution. Beniamin Madajczyk replaced Fredrik Masculier. A collision led to Granadero10 getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Durval Mendes hit a great ball. In the 73rd match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tana Rede in the 81st minute of play. Alfredinho Cavalcante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabiano Maranhense in the 84th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tana Rede came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
