When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ronaldo Crispín sped through E.C 2 Janeiro RS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Telmo Madureira. After a rather tough play, São Paulo F.C.'s Attila Keserű got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 6 played minutes, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Fellipe Rezende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiago Godoi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in E.C 2 Janeiro RS reached it. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaya Sow in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes São Paulo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Yaya Sow. When São Paulo F.C.'s Ronaldo Crispín in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Attila Keserű hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the game, São Paulo F.C.'s Dorian Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Dorian Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Telmo Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Crispín had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Madureira. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Crispín was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 34 minutes into the game, Yaya Sow recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Telmo Madureira. Yaya Sow showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. Telmo Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Crispín, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yaya Sow 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 9-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 9-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Crispín to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, São Paulo F.C.'s Ronaldo Crispín nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. 59 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Quadros came free, but Telmo Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Crispín in the 61st minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Dorian Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Crispín notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yaya Sow took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. After 71 minutes, Ronaldo Crispín made it 14-0 with a short kick to the right side. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Telmo Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Crispín in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute of the match São Paulo F.C. got a corner. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco Llorienzo ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Dorian Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Ronaldo Crispín hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Ronaldo Crispín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Crispín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Crispín came free, but Telmo Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Dorian Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Madureira. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorian Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 15-0. Telmo Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Crispín's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Yaya Sow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo Madureira was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that São Paulo F.C. were the better team. São Paulo F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
