When Marco Llorienzo fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo F.C.'s protests and gave Marco Llorienzo a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Llorienzo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. AntraX FDP.'s López Heredia got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The corner led to AntraX FDP.'s Vitor Agulla getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Wanderson Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Wanderson Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. López Heredia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Tiago Godoi made a huge save. A collision led to São Paulo F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Celso Gerber hit a great ball. AntraX FDP.'s López Heredia got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. López Heredia was the one to do the kick off. Tiago Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of López Heredia's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute.
