The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan got control of the ball when Benson Beverley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sérgio Trevisan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benson Beverley in the 14th minute. Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Cambridge Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. Boguslaw Makarewicz scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio Trevisan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cambridge Esporte Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Boguslaw Makarewicz scored to the left of an out of position Sérgio Trevisan, making the score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Makarewicz in the 22nd minute of play forced Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Trevisan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boguslaw Makarewicz went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan got control of the ball when Boguslaw Makarewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cambridge Esporte Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Álvaro Paraíba was slow to take the kick. During this time Mestre GG's players had a chance to rest. In the 28th minute Mestre GG were awarded a corner. Álvaro Paraíba went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Álvaro Paraíba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sérgio Trevisan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sérgio Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Benson Beverley sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute Boguslaw Makarewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Cambridge Esporte Clube defense, Boguslaw Makarewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Trevisan. The Cambridge Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Trevisan should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Cambridge Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Makarewicz came free, but Sérgio Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Boguslaw Makarewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Severo to maneuver through the defense.

Sérgio Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximenes Murieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sérgio Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benson Beverley in the 55th minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Boguslaw Makarewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benson Beverley in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Trevisan saved Cambridge Esporte Clube from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Boguslaw Makarewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mestre GG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. If Boguslaw Makarewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boguslaw Makarewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Trevisan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Mestre GG's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Álvaro Paraíba in the 70th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Jorginho Garcia heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The Mestre GG fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Mestre GG's Boguslaw Makarewicz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sérgio Trevisan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boguslaw Makarewicz's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Mestre GG got a corner. Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Álvaro Paraíba ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 80 minutes of play, Mestre GG's Jorginho Garcia made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio Trevisan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sérgio Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Makarewicz in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute Boguslaw Makarewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Mestre GG's corner Boguslaw Makarewicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sérgio Trevisan quite easily take care of the ball.
