Esteve Hodei started the match with the kick off. Telmo Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matouš Carda in the 8th minute of the match. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Hodei in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the E.C 2 Janeiro RS defense, Esteve Hodei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Telmo Madureira. The E.C 2 Janeiro RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Telmo Madureira should have stopped the shot. Telmo Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Hodei, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Hodei in the 23rd minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, AFC - Curitiba's Esteve Hodei made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telmo Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esteve Hodei scored 0-5 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Telmo Madureira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 32 played minutes AFC - Curitiba got a freekick which was hit by Matouš Carda. In the 34th minute Esteve Hodei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matouš Carda in the 35th minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Jan Bykowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Madureira. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Bykowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 40th minute, Jan Bykowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Telmo Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Bykowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmir Brito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. The supporters of AFC - Curitiba booed when E.C 2 Janeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Lucjan Setara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Telmo Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matouš Carda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Paes made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Jan Bykowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Telmo Madureira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Hodei in the 57th minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telmo Madureira was a little too slow when Matouš Carda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-8. Telmo Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteve Hodei's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Wanderson Oliveira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matouš Carda. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Esteve Hodei took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Telmo Madureira to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira got control of the ball when Matouš Carda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geraldo Eger hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 84th play minute Lucjan Setara came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Telmo Madureira. 0-11. Esteve Hodei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romário Ortiz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. AFC - Curitiba's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 90 minutes into the game, AFC - Curitiba's Jan Bykowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. Telmo Madureira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romário Ortiz went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-13 was the resulting score. AFC - Curitiba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
