Guido Bautistas short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Nacho González to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zarando Eguizabal in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aristides Hodei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guido Bautista who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Nacho González when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Guido Bautista kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nacho González. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Zarando Eguizabal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Vinström came free, but Aristides Hodei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ksawery Brzakala made a great header on Club Almirante Brown's corner, it was just that Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González managed to reach the ball for a save. Guido Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho González having to interfere. Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 齐扬扬 in the 34th minute of the match. The referee ignored Club Almirante Brown's protests and gave Vladimiro Remigio a yellow card for diving instead. Aristides Hodei was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 齐扬扬 made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Guido Bautista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nacho González was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Club Almirante Brown made a substitution. Gualterio Shepherd replaced Tomás Etxepare. Guido Bautista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nacho González read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Aristides Hodei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Astillero del Guayas were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Club Almirante Brown's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ziemowit Lampa took the corner. In the 73rd minute, Guido Bautista made a precise shot to the right of Nacho González. Astillero del Guayas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Club Almirante Brown's Wilfredo Segio was substituted for 齐扬扬. Nacho González didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilfredo Segio went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Many of Astillero del Guayas's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Astillero del Guayas may have spent more time on the ball, but Club Almirante Brown were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
