A sloppy throw-in by Zdeněk Kozlík in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Marlin FC's Melchor Oidor. 12 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Mano Hume had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Linus Fredriksson. In the 13th match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Rana to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Panpili in the 24th minute of play forced Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Mano Hume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marlin FC were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Utopía Muerta FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernando Ciano took the corner. The corner ended in Fernando Ciano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume did a great save. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkadiusz Piatek in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Linus Fredriksson got free with Mano Hume in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Carlos Alvarez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arkadiusz Piatek's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Mano Hume made an important save on a dangerous shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Mano Hume had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Linus Fredriksson. Mano Hume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Panpili, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Linus Fredriksson to make the kick off. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Piatek in the 58th minute of play. Utopía Muerta FC's Braulio Hibai was substituted for Anier Johans. Utopía Muerta FC's Ildefonso Abalos was substituted for Prudencio Ubelteso. Utopía Muerta FC were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Marlin FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fermin Martinez took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ildefonso Abalos managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mano Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Fredriksson in the 63rd minute of play. Juan Carlos Alvarez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severo Bermudo went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Fermin Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Utopía Muerta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Martinez couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez got control of the ball when Braulio Hibai tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Braulio Hibai took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Juan Carlos Alvarez to make any attempt to save it. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Marlin FC from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Uriel Santiago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Panpili came free, but Mano Hume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes Utopía Muerta FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Ciano who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Hibai got free with Juan Carlos Alvarez in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Roberto Calixto hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Bermudo in the 87th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Utopía Muerta FC's Severo Bermudo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Carlos Alvarez. That made the score 0-3 after 91 minutes of play. In the 94th match minute, Utopía Muerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Martinez to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Utopía Muerta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Abalos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
