In the 34th minute Delmiro Jayvier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Sansone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rubens Prata kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ashley Hargreaves. That made the score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tymoteusz Gotfryd in the 40th minute of play forced Nina fc's goalkeeper Higinio Sansone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saul Macerio was the one to do the kick off. Nina fc's Beppe Mercuri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Nina fc's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
