Adolfo Cresenciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Pelayo having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Nuno. After 19 minutes of play, Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Primitivo Fernanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Bertran got free with Pedro Pelayo in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Lázaro Kismi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Primitivo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mao Zhen in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Primitivo Fernanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Nuno in the 36th minute of play. Flóki Cabezudo took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Primitivo Fernanco. Primitivo Fernanco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Stellenbosch's Chi-Chi Legay managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Epifanio Medardo in the 42 minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flóki Cabezudo to strike the kick off in the second half. Boca Juniors's Primitivo Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flóki Cabezudo in the 56th minute of play. After 56 minutes, Adolfo Cresenciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors and the Stellenbosch players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Cresenciano. In the 59th minute, Flóki Cabezudo made a precise shot to the right of Primitivo Fernanco. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Luca Savini replaced Severo Mingo. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Nuno, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ladislao Bertran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Pelayo having to interfere. Boca Juniors's Maximo Bordat was substituted for Bartolo Nuno. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Bertran in the 74th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Bordat in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Pelayo saved Stellenbosch from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Maximo Bordat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Pelayo was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Osvaldo Bernat who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Primitivo Fernanco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 81 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Maximo Bordat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Pelayo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Osvaldo Bernat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stellenbosch's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Bernat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Fernanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Primitivo Fernanco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldo Bernat in the 90th minute. Osvaldo Bernat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Primitivo Fernanco came out and tried to block the shot, but Osvaldo Bernat slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 92nd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stellenbosch eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
