The corner went over the outstretched arms of Boca Juniors's goalie and right to Pietro Salles. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Boca Juniors's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 16 minutes into the match, Equipo's Ronaldo Cristi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Primitivo Fernanco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximo Bordat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ismael Furman made a huge save. Ronaldo Cristi took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Primitivo Fernanco. The Boca Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Equipo were winning 0-2.
