After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Enrique Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbson Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Paiva hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guto Alves made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Tião Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Atlético São Sebastião's Róbson Santos got control of the ball when Edmílson de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Guto Alves came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Atlético São Sebastião fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guto Alves couldn't finish the play. In the 61st match minute, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Atlético São Sebastião's Róbson Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético São Sebastião from getting a goal against them. Dito Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcinho Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Paiva got free with Róbson Santos in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
