After 2 played minutes Atlético Capixaba got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Diniz. 4 minutes into the match, Tião de Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Teles. Atlético Capixaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião de Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Fontes in the 14th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Patrick Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durvalino Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Túlio de Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Capixaba booed when Seterma Tractors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Gerson Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patrick Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Atlético Capixaba defense, Renan de Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Teles. The Atlético Capixaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Teles should have stopped the shot. Romeu Diniz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Mete Gol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Túlio de Toledo. Mete Gol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Durvalino Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 75 minutes of play, Atlético Capixaba's Alfredinho Severo made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Túlio de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Mete Gol sped through Seterma Tractors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Túlio de Toledo. 90 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Patrick Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathias Fontes. After 91 played minutes Seterma Tractors got a freekick which was hit by Renan de Andrade. Geovânio de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Gerson Leal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Túlio de Toledo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Severo in the 96th minute of play forced Seterma Tractors's goalkeeper Túlio de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Guto Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seterma Tractors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Capixaba the free kick. After 97 played minutes Seterma Tractors got a freekick which was hit by Guto Antunes. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Capixaba fans cheered their team off the field, for while Seterma Tractors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
