In the 5th minute, Giuseppe da Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Washington Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Willian Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Washington Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Silva in the 10th minute of play. Washington Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Salles in the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Leandro Vieira could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Heintje Taffarel however easily saved by the left post. Ricardo Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Chinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Silva came free, but Washington Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Washington Baiano came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Gugu Silva. But to his dismay, Gugu Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Chinho FC's Washington Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Bezerra in the 42nd minute of play. Washington Baiano came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Gugu Silva. But to his dismay, Gugu Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Gugu Silva took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Washington Baiano to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Chinho FC defense, Giuseppe da Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Washington Baiano. The Chinho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Washington Baiano should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Chinho FC's goalkeeper Washington Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Silva. After 73 played minutes Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe da Costa. Washington Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Chinho FC defense, Gugu Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Washington Baiano. The Chinho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Washington Baiano should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Paulo José Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Giuseppe da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ricardo Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sydney Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's protests and gave Sydney Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Sydney Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Chinho FC's Lenílson Munhoz tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Washington Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Silva in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Ernesto Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
