After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Luís de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Palmeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th match minute, Bandelocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Bandelocos's Alberto Palmeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Bandelocos from getting a goal against them. Glauco Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Alberto Palmeira made a huge save. Luís de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Alberto Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes, Bandelocos's José Paulo Severo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lauro Linhares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bandelocos reached it. Jorge Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Caio Ramos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Palmeira skillfully saved the ball. After 91 minutes, José Paulo Severo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandelocos and the CE LAJEADENSE RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored Bandelocos's protests and gave Diamantino Seco a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 93 minutes play.
