Caco Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan de Sousa in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Amaral in the 37th minute of play forced Diamante Negro DK - VV's goalkeeper Caco Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gugu Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Barral in the 47th minute of play forced Diamante Negro DK - VV's goalkeeper Caco Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafim Paraíba to make the kick off. After having played for 71 minutes, Geovani Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diamante Negro DK - VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro DK - VV's goalkeeper Caco Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Amaral. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Gugu Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Mazza in the 75th minute of play. When Luan de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joinville United - FSCMZ's protests and gave Luan de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead.
