Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Angel Comizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Manafu in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Batalionul U23 Dorobanti were awarded a corner. Renan Trancoso went to the cornerflag to take it. 14 minutes into the game, Ernie Ball cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Victor Ciociu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ernie Ball had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Angel Comizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Manafu in the 22nd minute of play. Victor Ciociu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernie Ball in the 26th minute of the match. With a little luck, Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu got control of the ball when Ernie Ball tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd play minute Octavian Balc came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Victor Ciociu. 3-0. Marian Grecescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Renan Trancoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victor Ciociu. That made the score 5-0 after 42 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dragoş Oloieru was the one to do the kick off. Ernie Ball fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ciociu having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Renan Trancoso. Ernie Ball might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Ciociu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernie Ball ran back to his position shaking his head. Diego Tristan scored 7-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Ciociu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61stth minute of the game Ernie Ball who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 67 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Oloieru. Victor Ciociu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernie Ball, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fully deserved thier win.
