Papo Roach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nichifor Vergulescu in the 5th minute of play. Navigatii Bacău's Papo Roach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Isvoreanu in the 7th minute of play. Costin Iorgu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes, Nichifor Vergulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Steaua Pildesti and the Navigatii Bacău players grew even worse after the yellow card. Papo Roach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mircea Isvoreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Papo Roach was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Augustin Nechifor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augustin Nechifor really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Papo Roach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Iorgu in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match, Nichifor Vergulescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Papo Roach saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 29th minute, Nichifor Vergulescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Papo Roach. The goal made the score 2-0. If Cristian Mirciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Papo Roach made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Mircea Isvoreanu sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the game, Radu Dragușin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Navigatii Bacău's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Steaua Pildesti the free kick. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when Navigatii Bacău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Dragușin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Valer Uncheşelu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Navigatii Bacău's Papo Roach didn't even have to move. If Mircea Isvoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Navigatii Bacău getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Martin Cănănău hit a great ball. Papo Roach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nichifor Vergulescu in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jannik Roblaa to strike the kick off in the second half. Papo Roach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costin Iorgu went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Costin Iorgu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Cristian Mirciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Valer Cobâlcescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Augustin Nechifor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Papo Roach was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Papo Roach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Iorgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Illés Pucheli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Navigatii Bacău's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Steaua Pildesti the free kick. After 73 played minutes Navigatii Bacău got a freekick which was hit by Illés Pucheli. After some careless play in the Navigatii Bacău defense, Răzvan Petrescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Papo Roach. The Navigatii Bacău fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Papo Roach should have stopped the shot. Augustin Nechifor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Papo Roach having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Navigatii Bacău's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Nechifor came free, but Papo Roach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Virgil Dragalina got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Cristian Mirciu notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu. Octavian Bogdănescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
