In the 38th minute, George Martin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. VIP's Petrică Nicolae came free and shot a quick shot against goal 42 minutes in the game, fortunately Horea Hurmuzache had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Petrică Nicolae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cătălin Cangeopol was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
