In the 11thth minute of the game Calistrat Bucuță who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VIP's Vasile Ecobici was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in VIP's zone, Calistrat Bucuță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasile Ecobici came out of the goal and Calistrat Bucuță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vasile Ecobici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Bucuță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Calistrat Bucuță had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vasile Ecobici. VIP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calistrat Bucuță was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Octav Turceanu fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VIP's protests and gave Octav Turceanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Octav Turceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 29 minutes on the clock, Vintilă Cernea commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Braulio Castel scored 0-5 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vasile Ecobici, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Calistrat Bucuță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half F.C.BARLAD were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A well placed Calistrat Bucuță short distance shot in the 52nd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 56th match minute, VIP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugurel Arotăriței to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Dumitru Surdu from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Vasile Ecobici's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, VIP's Emanuel Pacurar got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a little luck, VIP's Vasile Ecobici got control of the ball when Calistrat Bucuță tried to sneak it across the goal line. Braulio Castel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 65th playminute. F.C.BARLAD's Calistrat Bucuță got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. VIP's Vasile Ecobici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Bucuță in the 77th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's Calistrat Bucuță sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vasile Ecobici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind VIP's goalkeeper Vasile Ecobici, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Pintilescu in the 93rd minute of play forced F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper Wojtek Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Calistrat Bucuță notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of VIP's Vasile Ecobici. Vasile Ecobici was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over F.C.BARLAD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than VIP throughout the match.
